Hair Ribbons

Today we just did a few things to keep our hands busy today

Buttons on my ribbon

Rose Handband

Tomorrow I'm working on heart shaped elbow pads and recycled fingerless gloves made from an old sweater of mine.

I really am loving all these crafts, I check blogs all morning long while the kiddo eats breakfast and totally love all the ideas everyone shares.  Hopefully I can get in gear with everything I want to make so I have more to share.

Angry Birds and anything else I can fit into this weekend

Well my sewing weekend was cancelled due to a sick kiddo (not mine, my friends) so now I'm wasting away for this weekend when I'm kiddo free and can really focus on my projects.

I will be visiting my fav place in town, JoAnn's Fabrics and getting stuff to make Angry Birds hats and maybe a scarf or two, then I will be working on my purse that I'm creating from an apron pattern, its so pretty!

I moved the entire kitchen/sunroom around so I would have a little more room for all my sewing and crafts and now I can better use all the tables in the area :)

I might even work on my heart shirts as well!

The Fabric Store

Today I went to JoAnn's, which is having a great sale on just about everything in the store!  Patterns for 0.99 cents, 50% most fabrics and just bins and bins of clearance stuff... if only I'd been alone :)

I purchased items to finish my purse (that was suppose to be an apron but I love the fabric too much to waste on that) and then I'll be working on a shirt for myself as I finally got the foldout measuring board I needed.

Tomorrow is the sewing day with my friend Tina and I can't wait, I get to pack all my stuff in the new sewing cart and hopefully finish my first pattern purse, woohoo!  I'll post pictures I promise!

My brain is everywhere...

Hello - this would be the start to my crafty blog.  I have always wanted to be crafty, I've just spent the last 12 years working myself to death to pay bills.  I am now a stay at home mommie to a wonderfully strong minded 3 yr old :).

In the time she will allow, I sew, hot glue, make blankets and collect buttons.  Below is my first sewing project made from a few old tshirts and the top of a oneies.

First Dress

Today I'm working on my button collection, trying to display it without ruining them and still being able to look at them.  I'm also working on another dress and maybe a shirt for myself.

This weekend though I'm so excited, I'll be finishing up my first purse from a pattern, thanks to a good friend.  I'll post pictures of it once we are done.

I love crafts!
